Matt Reynolds

OT MATT REYNOLDS – BYU – 6-5, 302

4-year starter at LT.  Comes from a football family.  Brother Dallas played at BYU and has been a practice squad player in the NFL.  Father Lance is assistant coach at BYU and played in the NFL.

Reynolds lacks ideal athletic ability.  He does not project to LT in the NFL.  Arms are just 33 1/4 and he doesn’t have great feet.  Good pass blocker in college due to experience and skill, plus some toughness.  Just found a way to get the job done.  That’s not good enough for the next level.

Has a chance to play RT.  Good run blocker.  Comes off the ball well and plays with attitude.  Does a solid job at the second level.  Could be good enough as a pass blocker.  Understands the importance of angles and using his hands.  Smart blocker.  Could slide inside and play G as well.

Played LT at the Shrine Game and had a surprisingly good showing.  Should go somewhere in the 5th round area.  Did go on a mission so he’s older than the average prospect.
