Audie Cole

Productive veteran LB.  Cole played both MLB and SAM in his career. Moved inside as a Senior due to injuries. Cole led NC State in tackles. Added 13.5 TFLs and 4 FFs. Big guy at 6’4, 240.

Projects to MLB in the NFL. Doesn’t have the athleticism teams want in a SAM.  Cole was effective in coverage in college, but did that with skill and instincts.  He did have a solid workout at the Combine, but if you watch the tape you can see his athletic limitations.  You could also see them in Senior Bowl practices.

Cole is a good run defender.  Physical tackler.  Big/strong enough to handle blockers.  Real good player in a confined space.  Might be a good fit for a 3-4 team.  Good pass rusher. Had 14 career sacks.

Might be a good backup in the NFL.  Has the skills to start, but athletic limitations will hurt him.  Should go around the 5th round.  Teams will value his size and versatile background. Also could be excellent STer.
